CBS Breaks Out Bogus 'Bipartisan' Mom Group To Push Gun Control
The liberal media continues to push their anti-gun agenda with little regard for the facts. CBS Morning’s latest story on the new anti-gun rights group, Lives on the Line, is a perfect example. Correspondent Adriana Diaz suggested that the group was “stretching across district, state, and party lines demanding an end to gun violence.” However, a closer look at the moms highlighted in the story revealed that they either had a long history of liberal activism or didn’t have a strong political history at all.
Diaz failed to mention that the Columbine shooting, which she referenced to start her report, occurred DURING the national assault weapons ban. She then proceeded to misidentify all but one of the women while they pushed the ridiculous notion that “if they don’t speak up, they're part of the problem.”
One of the women, Annie Noll, made it obvious that she was new to protesting by noting “This was their first protest. This was my first protest. They’ve never done anything like this and it felt scary and uncomfortable, and we want other moms like us to get uncomfortable a little bit.” It turns out that Noll has a long history of left-leaning politics, with her Instagram account full of posts opposing pro-life legislation and opposing then-President Trump on immigration.
In one of the more bizarre segments of the report, Anna Dudenhoeffer Simpson and Sara Ennis made the discussion about race, with Simpson bashing white people for not doing enough. “We don't have enough white people who are willing to stand up and say, 'This is not right,'” she said. Ennis chimed in with “because we know that black children and LGBT people are affected by gun violence at a much higher level.”
Simpson’s political history isn’t hard to find. Her Instagram bio links to the far-left liberal organization Act Blue and a fundraising page for anti-gun rights Moms Demand Action. Over on Facebook, her profile pictures feature her in a Kamala Harris t-shirt, a Biden/Harris yard sign, a tribute to late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Black Lives Matter banners.
CBS Morning failed to provide any evidence of the purported bipartisan nature of Lives on the Line or its members. Instead, Diaz bemoaned states that were respecting gun rights instead of trying to abolish them. This story shows just how far the liberal media is willing to go to push their anti-gun agenda. They’ll even go as far as to misrepresent the political backgrounds of their sources in order to push their own narrative. This just goes to show that when it comes to the liberal media, nothing is sacred.
Despite the suggestion that Lives on the Line is a bipartisan group, Diaz never provided evidence of the purported bipartisan nature of the group or its members. Instead, she bemoaned states that were respecting gun rights instead of trying to abolish them.
It’s clear that CBS Mornings is pushing an anti-gun agenda, and that the women they highlighted in their report are long-time liberal activists. The Second Amendment gives Americans the right to bear arms, and it’s a right that must be protected. The liberal media’s attempt to push their anti-gun agenda is wrong, and it must be opposed.
