ABC 'Appalled' By Armed Good Samaritan Who Ended A Robbery
John Quiñones of ABC's Good Morning America was appalled by the situation, suggesting that the hero was “ducking police” and the source of the fear that night. This is part of his ongoing anti-gun narrative, which bars even defensive uses of firearms. He stacked the deck against the hero, playing dispatch audio stating the robber was "not awake and they're not breathing," and the weapon being used was a plastic airsoft or bb gun.
Quiñones then spoke with criminal defense attorney Toby Shooks who said the hero “could be charged with murder,” before adding he might “be justified” because “in Texas, a person can use deadly force.” It's clear that ABC's Good Morning America is using the situation to push its own agenda, instead of praising the hero for his brave actions in saving lives.
Houston, Texas police are searching for the anonymous hero who defended a restaurant full of customers from an armed robber. The terrifying scene was all caught on security camera footage and the good Samaritan shot and killed the suspect.
It's a sad state of affairs when the media turns to demonizing good samaritans. The hero was put in an impossible situation, having to make a split-second decision that could have ended in tragedy for himself and others.
There is no way anyone in the restaurant could have known the suspect was waving around a bb gun. It just goes to show how important it is for people to be able to protect themselves, their families, and those around them from danger.
Recently, there has been a lot of media attention on the 2nd Amendment. It seems as if many news outlets and media sources have taken a stance against the right to bear arms, pushing an anti-gun rhetoric on their viewers and readers. This has been done through the use of biased reporting and news stories that are often skewed to meet the agenda of the media outlet.
For example, many media outlets have taken to reporting on mass shootings and other gun-related crimes, while failing to mention the countless lives that have been saved due to the presence of firearms. This type of reporting is often done in an effort to scare people into thinking that gun ownership is inherently dangerous, and that the 2nd Amendment should be abolished.
The truth is that the 2nd Amendment is a fundamental right that has been a part of our Constitution for centuries. It is a right that should be upheld and respected, not demonized and vilified by the media. The media should take a more balanced approach to reporting on the 2nd Amendment, and make sure that their viewers and readers are aware of both sides of the argument.
