Activists Alleged Boat Was Hit By Drone Attack
Somewhere in the Mediterranean — far from Gaza, far from credibility, and even farther from danger — Greta Thunberg and her latest performance troupe, dubbed the “Sumud Flotilla,” made global headlines this week for what they claim was a drone strike on their vessel.
Yes, a drone strike. Off the coast of Tunisia. On a boat packed with Western activists in keffiyehs and GoPros, determined to “break” Israel’s maritime blockade of Hamas-controlled Gaza — by sailing thousands of miles off course and setting their own life jackets on fire.

The incident, which supposedly occurred some 1,400 miles from the conflict zone, featured a fire onboard the so-called “Family Boat” that activists immediately described as a targeted attack. “THE VESSEL IS ON FIYAH!” one crew member screamed — with such theatrical flair you’d think he was auditioning for a Michael Bay film. The problem? There’s no evidence — none — that Israel was involved.
That didn’t stop activist accounts from launching accusations. Influencer Mario Nawfal posted, “FULL VIDEO SHOWS DRONE STRIKE ON GAZA FLOTILLA BOAT.” The video, in fact, shows... a fire. No drone. No explosion debris. Just a chaotic scene that looks suspiciously like something went wrong on the boat — not to it. Nawfal later deleted the post after more skeptical eyes noticed the absence of anything remotely resembling a drone.

Even Tunisian officials have stepped in to douse the flames — literally and figuratively. The National Guard told local media there is “no basis in truth” for the drone strike claim. A preliminary inspection found the explosion originated inside the vessel — not from an external weapon. In activist terms: they lit their own boat on fire.
But what’s truly fascinating — and telling — is the reflex to blame Israel before any facts were established. With zero strategic value and no rational incentive for Israel to strike an over-hyped protest ship a continent away, activists and their online enablers still couldn’t resist pushing the narrative. Why? Because victimhood pays in clicks, likes, and headlines — even if the only enemy fire is from a malfunctioning camp stove.
Tonight marks the night when Greta Thunberg’s time in the limelight ends.
They just Jussie Smolletted a drone strike on their boat.
So obvious it wasn’t a drone strike.

President Trump hasn’t commented yet, but you can imagine his take: “Greta’s boat caught fire, and she blamed Israel. Sad!”
