Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Gets 'Carded' And Her World Crumbles Like Humpty-Dumpty's Fall
Ms. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is already making a name for herself as she prepares to take office as the youngest-ever female to be elected to the House of Representatives. She had barely arrived before she had her ID checked, and she's raising all kinds of ruckus and has decided it's time for her to start playing the race card.

You, the person reading this story right now, are up on the news. You’re “in the know” as it were. But not everyone is a news junkie. Some people have forgone Twitter for a life filled with so much more than hashtags. As such, these people may not know the bug-eyed face of socialism’s newest supermodel, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She was asked for ID (because security in Washington DC is kind of a big deal), and has turned this ID check into an anthem for WOMEN OF COLOR:
- Dem Spouse + Member luncheon were at the same time today. I was sent to spouse event.
- Last night I was stopped bc it was assumed I was an intern/staffer
- Next time try believing women + people of color when they talk about their experiences being a woman or person of color https://t.co/xXwAUegQNI

Unless the person stopping Alexandria specifically said “you look like an intern/staffer” then it sounds like Alexandria is assigning a sexist motive. Here’s another theory:
There are more interns/staffers than there are congressmen and congresswomen. Most of those interns/staffers are young. Alexandria Nina Pinta Santa Maria Cortez is a young woman, not even thirty-years-old. Ergo, going by the numbers, it’s a safer bet if you’re not obsessed with Twitter, to assume Nina Pinta is an intern/staffer.
There’s an easy fix for this: “Oh no, I’m actually not a staffer. I’m newly elected Congresswoman Cortez from New York. I’m actually one of the youngest people ever elected, so I can totally understand the confusion. Can you please direct me to the member luncheon?”
It’s called polite diplomacy, a necessary skill for politicians/human beings. Because a man who’s not yet thirty, white, black or green, would likely be assumed to be an intern/staffer.
Does racism/sexism exist? Of course. Was this an example of it? Probably not. Sounds like a case of “You’re young, new, and kind of an entitled brat.”

Ms. Ocasio-Cortez is really going in with a flourish, wouldn't you say? I can't help but wonder how long it will be before the establishment liberals will get tired of her carryings-on. She's already been involved in leading a demonstration outside Nancy Pelosi's office demanding some action on climate change. It's funny in a way, but pathetic in others. It might just be the time to stock up on the popcorn and get ready for more fireworks.
