Alyssa Milano’s Big ‘Showdown’ With Ted Cruz: No More Bacon Wrapped AR-15s

If you haven’t been paying attention to the fued between Sen. Ted Cruz and B-lister Alyssa Milano let me sum it up. Milano attacked Cruz on Twitter and he put her to down with facts. When Milano was backed in a corner with nowhere to go she suggested Cruz meet her for a face to face showdown.

Here is just one of several tweets between the two:

Milano’s ‘come at me’ attitude was left behind her keyboard apparently because in the video you see a very meek and soft spoke actress. One who brought two other ‘speakers’ to confront Cruz and mostly gave them the floor, rather than speak for herself. Because Milano obviously needed reinforcements.

Accompanying Milano was a democrat activist and father of a murdered high school student in the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, Fred Guttenberg, and Ben Jackson, co-founder of #NoRA, an anti-NRA organization. Cruz, well-known for his debating skills, held his own and never raised his voice.

As Hotair pointed out, this was no debate by any stretch of the imagination but a conversation. For Milano it looked more like a She used her dramatic skills, even as she began the conversation. She quickly was on the verge of tears, spoke with a catch in her voice, and wiped her eyes and nose. Guttenberg thanked Cruz for shaking his hand during his handshake fiasco at the Kavanaugh hearing. Milano said she wanted the meeting with Cruz because “I wanted to look at you in the eye, and know that you really are a human with a heartbeat.”

You know, because people who support the 2nd amendment aren’t human- or so leftists like Milano think.

The group tried to overwhelm Cruze by teaming up on him but the republican held his ground and explained that conservatives don’t support criminals with guns, but law-abiding citizen’s rights to bear arms.

Milano doesn’t want to see any more bacon-wrapped AR-15s, she told Cruz. She wants him to “be mindful on social media”, you see. Perhaps she can commit to doing the same. She left the meeting by calling Cruz “gracious”. Apparently she expected a gun-rights supporter to be a barbarian. Minds were not changed. Alyssa got her time on camera.

Alyssa was referring to Ted Cruz’s now-famous presidential campaign video. If you haven’t seen it- honestly, it’s hilarious. Take a look:

If you want to watch the live stream video it’s available on Cruz’s Facebook page. Be warned though, it’s over an hour and fourteen minutes long. You can watch it for yourself here.

The uneventful livestream didn’t change anything between Milano or Cruz. However, it did give viewers a look at the difference between someone ‘acting’ like they care as it is in Milano’s case and a real supporter, like Cruz.

It also had us re-watch Cruz’s AR-15 bacon video again. That alone made it worth it.
