Anti-Statue Libs Strike Again: Now They're Gunning For The Father Of The Declaration Of Independence

Liberals have targeted the Father of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson. The man known as the 'apostle of the Constitution' has offended the left for being a man of his time.

The 187-year-old statue has sat in the in New York City hall's chambers since 1833—But no more. The spineless Dem Mayor Bill de Blasio stepped aside to let liberals dismantle American history, according to reports:

"We acknowledge that the piece needs to be removed from the City Council chamber," Nielsen said after the vote. "We as a commission will act before the end of 2021 in finding an appropriate location where it remains in the public realm."

The commission did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.

The City Council's Black, Latino, and Asian Caucus has long objected to the statue's presence because Jefferson owned slaves. Assembly Member Charles Barron and his wife, City Council Member Inez Barron, led the fight to remove the statue.

When I said that spineless de Blasio 'stepped aside', I mean that the coward put his wife on the job and left it to her to decide the fate of Jeffersons historic statue:

"Mayor Bill de Blasio charged his wife, first lady Chirlane McCray, head of the Commission on Racial Justice and Reconciliation, with deciding the sculpture's fate."

History in any country isn't always pretty and the United States is not immune to that fact. We don't get to just edit out the parts that 'offend some.

Firstly, I can't think of a more low-key way to disrespect the decedents of slavery—America's history belongs to all Americans, like it or not. But secondly, who the hell does all this editing serve? It certainly isn't enriching anyone's life. If anything, acts like this accompanied with a damaging curriculum like the Critical Race Theory seem to only serve to segregate Americans by the color of their skin.
