Beauty Pageant Answer Draws Huge Exclamation From Crowd
Hannah Neleman, the Mrs. South Dakota winner, has been crowned as the new Mrs. American. The joyous occasion was held at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Nevada where Neelman emerged as the winner.
Neelman is a farmer in Kamas, Utah, and a mother of seven. She answered the question “When have you felt most empowered?” with a passionate pro-family, pro-motherhood answer. “I have felt this feeling seven times now as I bring these sacred souls to the earth,” Neleman told the audience with tears in her eyes. “After I hold that newborn baby in my arms, the feeling of motherhood and bringing them to the earth is the most empowering feeling I have ever felt.”
The crowd embraced Neleman’s answer with wild cheers and her win was made official. She is now expected to go on to compete in the Mrs. World pageant in 2023.
Prior to becoming Mrs. South Dakota and now Mrs. American, Neleman was the Miss New York City and a graduate of Juilliard School. She took to her social media account under the name Ballerina Farm to announce her win and share the moment she was crowned the winner. “I am humbled beyond words,” Neleman wrote in her post. “Your new Mrs American. Thank you [mrspageantry] for capturing the crowning moment.”
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Neleman couldn’t make it to the event as she had to stay in Utah. However, South Dakota had an open invitation policy for the pageant and Neleman was selected as the winner.
Those who watched the contest declared Neleman as the clear favorite. Many congratulatory messages have been pouring in for her. Neleman will now be representing the United States in the upcoming Mrs. World pageant in 2023.
Mrs. America is the leading and oldest pageant in the United States. It has been giving away the crown since 1992 and hopes to empower women by giving them a platform to express themselves and become role models for younger generations. Neelman is proud to be heading the list of inspiring new faces.
