Biden Bridge Claim Isn’t Adding Up
Social media erupted with mockery and skepticism on Tuesday after President Joe Biden told a crowd at an event in Milwaukee that he watched a bridge collapse in Pittsburgh last year.
The President made the comments while touting his economic policies at Ingeteam, a wind turbine generator manufacturer, over the weekend.
“A lot of you were with me when I was in Pittsburgh,” he said. “By the way, Pittsburgh is a city of bridges – more bridges in Pittsburgh than any other city in America.”
Biden went on to say, “I watched that bridge collapse, I got there and saw it collapse with over 200 feet off the ground going over a valley. It collapsed. Thank God school was out during the pandemic.”

The video of Biden’s comments quickly went viral on social media, where he faced an onslaught of criticism.
“Must have happened during one of his long-haul trucking routes,” former congressional candidate David Giglio wrote, referencing another tall tale told by Biden.

Futures Edge Podcast host Jim Iuorio concluded that it was more of the norm for the President rather than an isolated incident.
“Realistically not a ‘gotcha’… Joe has been making up his own reality for 50 years in public life only to keep moving ahead… ‘top of my class,’” he wrote.
