Blessing In Disguise: Salon Owner That Pelosi Tried To Ruin Gets A Big Surprise
Erica Kious is the San Fransico salon owner who blew the whistle on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for using her position to open her salon for a private session. The salon had been shuttered since May and unable to open because of both local and pandemic laws. That didn't stop Pelosi from popping in, without her mask, for a quick 'blow out' before going on camera.
Kious was pretty rightfully upset at the Speaker. After all, if Pelosi felt safe enough to have a one-on-one with one of her staff members completely unprotected- why can't she open her business?
The single mother became a target for Pelosi supporters after the Speaker declared that the owner 'set her up'. Pelosi supporters did their best to ruin the salon owner, and succeeded. She announced earlier this week her plans to close her business and move away.
However, as it turns out Kious had some supporters of her own. A close friend to the salon owner set up a GoFundMe account which has raised more thank $300,000 dollars. A humbled Kious responded on the page, moved by the generosity of strangers:
"I wish I could personally thank every person who sent me their prayers, words of encouragement and support, especially at a time when so many are struggling to make ends meet in their own lives.
I am very humbled and grateful to have received such an outpouring of kindness, empathy and generosity from people I don't even know, and from all walks of life and all sides of the political spectrum. It's a powerful reminder that the common things that bind us all together as Americans are far more meaningful and lasting than political and ideological differences that get so much attention and focus.
Today, on Labor Day, we should all focus on celebrating the efforts and achievements of hard-working people everywhere. They deserve our respect and appreciation, and they definitely all deserve an opportunity to get back to work safely and responsibly. That is all this was ever about.
Finally, and most importantly, I want to thank my girls and their loving dad, and all my family and friends (especially Amy Tarkanian) for their support and understanding"

I bet Pelosi didn't see that coming. I'm sure she thought her call to arms would ruin the salon owner for good. Thankfully, Erica has some supporters of her own.
