BOOM! Court Sides With Whistleblower Against Planned Parentshood’s Heinous Practices
The folks at Planned Parenthood have had a pretty unlucky week. Monday they announced that, rather than comply with Trump’s gag order, they will be pulling out of the Title X – federal funding program. The Presidents order was to stop pushing abortions to expecting mothers or lose funding, and they chose to lose their taxpayer funding. A win for the working class, for sure!
Now, Arizona courts have ordered the massive abortion clinic to shell out $3 million dollars in a wrongful termination suit by a former employee whose only crime was trying to report them for their poor practices and gross negligence. Some of which was down-right criminal!
Mayra Rodriguez worked for the shady organization for 17 years and across 3 separate clinics. By her own account, the company fired her for multiple justified complaints about practices and doctors. Some that risked the lives of the very women the clinics supposedly cares about.
We know it’s just a liberal cash farm and her testimony of the problems she witnessed are just more proof to that fact.
Problems included high complication rates and illegal conduct on the doctors’ parts, falsification of affidavits and patient records, incomplete abortions and failure to report that a minor had an adult partner, Rodriguez said.
The former abortion clinic director described how in September of 2017, she witnessed a doctor bungle an abortion but fail to report this in charts as he was required. The doctor performed an abortion on a patient who was thirteen-weeks pregnant, Rodriguez said, and afterward re-inserted the woman’s intrauterine device.
But parts of the baby had been left inside the mother, and when the doctor realized this, he removed the IUD, removed the rest of the mangled baby parts and put the IUD back in the woman.
“Something happened in that room, and that chart did not reflect that,” Rodriguez told the DCNF. She alerted upper management but said nothing was done.
Rodriguez also described how she witnessed the falsification of affidavits and patient records. The affidavits were supposed to say that the abortion was completed and that “the fetus was not born alive,” she said, adding that these were supposed to be signed by the doctor after the abortion procedure was finished.
The former employee has already helped more than 500 Planned Parenthood employees leave the shady company.
“I’ve stared down Planned Parenthood in court. I know how hard it is watching your friends lie about you,” said Johnson, whose real-life story is shown in the film, “Unplanned,” and the book by the same name.
“It’s always good to take down Planned Parenthood but it’s not without hurt,” she said.
Both Rodriguez and Johnson said they initially joined Planned Parenthood to help women, but discovered the company actually hurts them.
“I hope my case is a lesson to other workers that shows them that the truth will prevail,” Rodriguez concluded. “I also hope my case is a lesson to employers who abuse their power — sometimes the underdog wins and justice will be done.”
Now that they’ve pulled themselves out of the taxpayer’s wallets and their down another $3 mil from this suit, maybe we’ll start to see some of these clinics close their doors for good. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
