Climate Nuts Defaced Priceless Art- What A Bunch Of Freaks!
Nothing says 'don't drill for oil' like splashing a Vincent van Gogh painting in tomato soup and then gluing yourself to the wall—Right? Members of the group 'Just Stop Oil' defaced van Gogh's Sunflowers painting during a demonstration to protest new drilling.
Members of the U.K.-based group have previously gained attention for gluing themselves to paintings at art galleries and blocking roads and even racetracks.
The activists say their goal is to "ensure that the government commits to ending all new licenses and consents for the exploration, development and production of fossil fuels in the UK."
The UK has no choice but to start drilling or face a dangerously cold winter with low energy supplies. These kids are outraged that some people are too poor to afford the oil needed to heat a can of soup but equally don't want their government to do anything to fix it. The tech isn't there to switch the world over to electric and the same people who can afford to 'heat a can of soup' certainly can't afford the shift to all-electric.
According to the BBC, The Metropolitan Police said: "Officers were rapidly on scene at the National Gallery this morning after two Just Stop Oil protesters threw a substance over a painting and then glued themselves to a wall.
"Both have been arrested for criminal damage and aggravated trespass. Officers are now de-bonding them."
Watch
Maybe someone should educate these kids on van Gogh and how he died a poor man who was shunned for his style of art. Van Gogh's paintings only gained value after he committed suicide by shooting himself in the chest. Wealthy people profited from his death just so 132 years later, these climate brats can further humiliate him by defacing his art because oil shortages have driven up prices forcing some to go without.
Make perfect sense.
