CNN’s Acosta Gets Mocked After Revealing He’s Writing A Book About Trump
CNN correspondent Jim Acosta announced that he is writing a book that is expected to be released in June of this year.
The topic…President Trump and the battles he’s had with the mainstream media.
The Daily Wire reports,
Acosta, who even left-wing media has said is dangerous to real journalism, has often been a lightning rod for negative attention during the Trump administration.
Acosta’s book announcement was met with widespread mockery online after CNN’s Brian Stelter tweeted out his news article on the book.
CNN's @Acosta has been working on a book for months. It's coming out June 11. Title: "The Enemy of the People: A Dangerous Time to Tell the Truth in America." Here's my story… https://t.co/qsYFAdNeDT

In a statement through HarperCollins Publishers, Acosta said, “Simply put, I am writing this book to share what I’ve experienced covering President Trump during his first two years in office.”
“This sobering, bewildering and sometimes frightening experience has made it absolutely clear that this is a dangerous time to tell the truth in America. The president and his team, not to mention some of his supporters, have attempted to silence the press in ways we have never seen before.”
“As just about everybody has seen, I have witnessed this firsthand.”
Acosta’s coming book is to be titled, “The Enemy of the People: A Dangerous Time to Tell the Truth in America”.
What a laughable premise. No one stops journalists from telling the truth and they are in absolutely no danger when doing so.

Bill McMorris from The Free Beacon tweeted,
“CNN’s Stelter risked his life to get the scoop that CNN’s Acosta was pushing a book,” The Free Beacon’s Bill McMorris tweeted. “Everyone downplaying the importance of a free press should think about what we would lose if we did away with such essential journalism.”

NRA TV’s Cam Edwards tweeted,
“It’s such a dangerous time to be a reporter in the U.S. that you might… get a book deal from a big publisher, a PR blitz & plenty of opportunities to criticize the administration. “Meanwhile, here’s a list of the people China ‘disappeared’ last year.”
