Colorado Court Blocks Trump, RFK Jr. Speaks Out
The 2024 presidential race just got even more chaotic as former President Donald Trump has been blocked from the ballot in Colorado by the state's Supreme Court. This decision has sparked a strong response from independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., who warns that if Trump is kept out of office through judicial intervention, his supporters will never accept the result and the country will become ungovernable.
Kennedy, who initially entered the race as a Democratic primary challenger to President Biden before switching to an independent bid, took to X to issue a statement on the Colorado court's ruling. "If Trump is denied the opportunity to run for office through the legal system, rather than being defeated in a fair election, his supporters will never accept the outcome," Kennedy wrote on X. "This will only contribute to the perception that the political elites are hand-picking the president instead of letting the American people decide. This is not how a democracy should function."
Kennedy, along with the co-founders of the super PAC American Values 2024, Mark Gorton and Tony Lyons, have pointed out the similarities between the Colorado decision and the DNC's efforts to block Kennedy from the Democratic ticket.

Lyons told Fox News Digital that the DNC has been using tactics to keep Kennedy off the ballot in various states, revealing their fear of allowing him to debate against Biden. "All of these tactics are anti-democratic and are being used to disenfranchise American voters and take away their hard-won right to vote," he said.
Gorton echoed these sentiments, stating that the DNC's actions go against their constant rhetoric of protecting democracy. "The DNC is constantly talking about threats to democracy, yet they are the ones trying to manipulate and corrupt the system for their own gains," Gorton said. "Their actions show that they believe they are entitled to rule and that anything to maintain their power is acceptable."
Kennedy himself is not a supporter of Trump, but his concern lies with the fairness and integrity of the election process. "I may not support Trump, but I want to beat him in a fair election, not because he was kicked off the ballot," Kennedy stated. "Let the voters choose, not the courts."
"We just have to demonstrate that he will not take power, if he does run, making sure under 'legitimate' efforts of the Constitution, does not become the next president again."

The 4-3 decision by the Colorado Supreme Court, which deemed Trump ineligible for the White House under the Constitution's insurrection clause, has raised questions about due process and the right to confront accusers without an evidentiary hearing. Kennedy believes this decision sets a dangerous precedent and sends a message to other countries that America is not a true democracy.
Kennedy and his team are calling for a swift reversal of the decision and the preservation of the people's right to choose their candidate in a fair election. As the 2024 presidential race continues to heat up, the actions of the DNC and the Colorado Supreme Court will undoubtedly be closely watched by both sides.
