DeSantis Knocks Pushy Reporters Back In Their Place: 'Chill Out!'
The media wants to see Ron DeSantis run against Trump in 2024 so badly that they were pestering the Republican to announce his running before he even had a chance to finish the midterms. Now, after his sweeping victory in Florida, the media is back at it, clawing for a dogfight.
DeSantis was trying to enjoy the victories and accomplishments of his state when reporters began pushing him to announce his running. That's when the governor smacks them all back in their place saying that 'people need to chill out'.
"We just finished this election, okay? People just need to chill out a little bit on some of this stuff, I mean seriously. We just ran an election. We have this Georgia runoff coming, which is very important for Republicans to win that Georgia runoff," DeSantis said. "I know around the country Florida was kind of the the biggest bright spot. It was not so bright in other parts of the country. It was a substandard performance given the dynamics at play."
"But I think people like me, who have been given the opportunity to continue is, okay, let's do something with that. The reason why we won a historic victory is that at the end of the day, we lead, we delivered and we had your back when you needed us," he continued.
Like DeSantis, Trump encouraged Republicans to get out and vote for Hershel Walker in the Georgia runoff for U.S. Senate against Democrat Raphael Warnock, during his 2024 announcement.
"One of the things I've learned in this job is when you're leading, when you're getting things done, you take incoming fire. That's just the nature of it. I roll out of bed in the morning, I've got corporate media outlets that have a spasm, just the fact that I'm getting up in the morning," DeSantis said. "At the end of the day, I would just tell people to go check out the scoreboard from last Tuesday night. The fact of the matter is it was the greatest Republican victory in the history of the State of Florida."

"Florida is an example that you know what, you can get the big things right,” he said, bragging that it just took three days to replace a bridge that was destroyed by Hurricane Ian, and that would not have happened in New York.

The media is so hard-pressed to get DeSantis to take on Trump that I don't think they've realized the bigger issue for Democrats-Or maybe they have? Democrats do not have a viable candidate. Sure Biden can run again and maybe he'll get it and retire from his presidency at the ripe old age of 86. That is if he were to somehow manage to survive the average investigation coming his way for his family's foreign business deals.
But that's it... That is what Democrats have—Biden.
While some might see the Republican party as a two-headed monster with two prominent and influential Republicans in the front, all I see is a headless Democratic party flailing around just hoping someone else comes along. Someone that hasn't already lost several times before—Sorry Pete! LOL
