Eric Swalwell Announces Candidacy – Gets ROASTED By Twitter For LAME Slogan
The gun-grabbing Dem who proposed nuking gun owners announced his Presidency and may have pitched the lamest slogan yet. That’s right people, Eric Swalwell is joining the growing herd of Dems running for a chance to go against Trump.
He launches his slogan for the world to see and the good people of Twitter ripped him a new one! It seems like Swalwell was going for a ‘Go Big Or Go Home‘ type of slogan but what came out was:
This has to be the saddest announcement in the history of presidential campaigns.

Yep, that’s it…. “Go Big, Be Bold, And Do Good”. For which Twitter responded like this:
Had to look it up to make sure you weren't joking. Even the audience didn't even applause that much.

Just last November, in a tweet Swalwell has not yet deleted, the congressman confirmed the worst fears of conservative gun owners. He has proposed a ban on and federal buyback of all “assault weapons” in the U.S. He made no bones about the potential war between the government and those who refuse to comply.
When Infowars’ Joe Biggs pressed the congressman on what would happen, Swalwell took the bait. “So basically [Eric Swalwell] wants a war,” Biggs tweeted. “Because that’s what you would get. You’re outta your f**king mind if you think I’ll give up my rights and give the gov all the power.”
Swalwell wrongly assumes that the military would take his side of this. It might be a short war with Swalwell on the losing side I suspect.

Rather than remaining silent, Swalwell took the bait and confirmed conservatives’ fears. Smarter Democrats would refuse to respond, because there is no good response. Instead, this congressman tweeted, “And it would be a short war my friend. The government has nukes. Too many of them. But they’re legit. I’m sure if we talked we could find common ground to protect our families and communities.”
Swalwell later tweeted: “Don’t be so dramatic. No one is nuking anyone or threatening that. I’m telling you this is not the 18th Century. The argument that you would go to war with your government if an assault weapons ban was in place is ludicrous and inflames the gun debate. Which is what you want.”
I don’t think people being outraged that a politician proposed nuking Americans is them ‘being dramatic’. In a different era a comment like that would have landed Swalwell in jail, or worse.
