Fired CNN Hack Makes A Mockery Of Himself: Blames Everyone BUT His Crap Reporting
Brian Stelter has been trying to pretend that his departure from CNN was entirely due to the natural "life cycle" of television shows. But his interview with Dan Abrams on NewsNation Tuesday evening revealed some uncomfortable truths.
When Abrams asked Stelter why he thought he was fired, Stelter replied that he “really, truly don’t know.” But then went on to suggest that his ouster was due to Fox News making him a target. Stelter also asserted that “we were doing fantastic journalism at CNN for the nine years that I was there.”
This is an outrageous claim. Under Stelter's watch, CNN became a mouthpiece for the liberal political establishment, a place where the left-wing talking points were repeated ad nauseam and dissenting voices were shut down. The fact that Stelter is still trying to pretend that CNN was doing fantastic journalism is a testament to his own denial.
Stelter's departure from CNN also reveals the failure of Chris Licht's attempts to move the network away from its liberal agenda. Licht has been touting CNN's supposed “straight news programming,” but the reality is that CNN continues to be heavily biased and weaponized in favor of the left.
It's telling that Stelter's interview with Abrams was filled with the same condescending attitude and biased assumptions that characterized his time at CNN. Even when Abrams asked him a simple question, Stelter couldn't help but take a shot at Fox News. It's clear that Stelter has yet to learn the lessons of his time at CNN and is still unable to accept any criticism.
Stelter's denial of the reality of CNN's biased programming is an insult to the millions of viewers who were fed a steady stream of one-sided liberal talking points during his tenure. It's time for Stelter to finally accept that his time at CNN was not a rousing success. Stelter should learn from his failures and realize that facts and truth-telling should come before his own partisan preferences.
