Fox News Rocked By Leak
Fox News has been accused of propagating a “woke” agenda internally, including LGBTQ+ policies and guidelines, according to a new report.
The company has established policies in its employee handbook which support its interest in an “inclusive work environment” for the LGBTQ+ community, allowing employees to dress in alignment with their preferred gender and to be addressed accordingly.
It also offers to assist employees with workplace gender transition plans as they may feel “stressful and trying.” This includes providing access to single-occupancy restrooms if requested in certain situations.
The guidelines stand in stark contrast to the many on-air segments produced by the network criticizing “woke” companies and government policies, and the language it uses on social media sites such as “gender-affirming care” and female pronouns for biological males like TikTok celebrity Dylan Mulvaney.
These revelations come in the wake of news that former “Tucker Carlson Tonight” host Carlson had departed from the network with an unspecified explanation from Fox News Media.
The Daily Signal, a conservative online news site, conducted interviews with several current and former Fox News employees, who requested anonymity to speak candidly, with regard to the situation.
One former producer for “Tucker Carlson Tonight” told The Daily Signal that “they want you to think it’s this place that supports traditionally conservative values, but in reality, they’re pushing this nonsense behind the scenes.” Another still-employed Fox source said that, after Carlson’s show was canceled, producers for the new 8 p.m. The “Fox News Tonight” program was told to not bash Dylan Mulvaney.
The New York City Human Rights Law requires employers to use the name, pronouns, and titles of a person's preferred gender, while the California Fair Employment and Housing Council adopted new regulations in 2017, such as its restroom use and transition policies.
The Daily Signal also asked Fox News for a comment on the situation. However, the company did not respond.
The handbook encourages staff to “inform and educate” their co-workers about their transition experience but also respects a person's right to privacy.
Meanwhile, conservative commentator Matt Walsh, in a phone interview with The Daily Signal, said he was aware of potential blacklisting on Fox after he criticized the network’s June 2022 segment praising a gender transition.
“Fox’s viewers think that Fox shares their values, [but] it’s very clear that that’s just not the case … [they’ve] embraced radical leftism in its most extreme form,” Walsh stated.
In conclusion, it appears Fox News’s true policies on gender issues remain a mystery, and its audiences are often left surprised and confused.
