Gabbard Gives Update Following Her Release Of Documents
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard just dropped new documents from a whistleblower who says they were pressured — even threatened — by a supervisor to go along with the Obama-directed January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) on Russian election interference, despite knowing it was built on false, cherry-picked, and discredited information.
The ICA, which claimed Russia “preferred” Donald Trump in 2016, became the cornerstone of the Russian collusion narrative. But according to this whistleblower, it wasn’t an honest intelligence product — it was manufactured.
Here’s what they say happened:
-
The whistleblower refused to sign off on the ICA because they “could not concur in good conscience” with its conclusions.
-
Their supervisor pushed them to accept the assessment anyway, even hinting that their future promotion depended on compliance.
-
The ICA leaned heavily on open-source Russian media as “proof” that the Kremlin backed Trump, while conveniently ignoring foreign media — including NATO allies — that were actively hostile to Trump and supportive of Hillary Clinton.
-
And perhaps most damning: former DNI James Clapper and other Obama officials privately dismissed the Steele Dossier as garbage while ensuring its claims made their way into the ICA anyway.
This wasn’t a one-and-done complaint. For six years, the whistleblower tried to raise the alarm — going to the IC Inspector General, Special Counsel John Durham, a U.S. senator, and more than a dozen official channels. Every attempt was ignored or buried.
Now, thanks to Gabbard’s whistleblower protections, those documents are public. And they paint a picture of a high-level intelligence operation knowingly presenting a manufactured narrative to the American people.
“The whistleblower records also show how former DNI James Clapper and other senior Obama Administration officials privately denounced the Steele Dossier, despite simultaneously ensuring that the January 2017 ICA included it,” Gabbard revealed.
NEW: Whistleblower reveals how they were threatened by a supervisor to go along with the Obama-directed Russia hoax “intelligence” assessment, even though they knew it was not credible or accurate. The Whistleblower refused.

The implications are massive. This ICA was used as the foundation for years of investigations and legal warfare against Trump and his allies. If the whistleblower’s account holds up, we’re looking at one of the most consequential intelligence scandals in U.S. history.
As Gabbard put it: “Thank you to this courageous whistleblower … putting their own well-being on the line to defend our democratic republic, ensure the American people know the truth, and hold those responsible accountable.”
