Gavin Newsom Is On A Filthy Power Trip, Threatens Struggling Stores With Fines
California just got a little more unappealing as newly indicated Governor Gavin Newson is on a massive power trip. If by some chance a store survived Newsom's lockdown and last summer riots, they may now face fines if they don't comply with the liberal agenda. Newsom ordered that toy stores will now offer a gender natural section of face fines.
The first offense will get owners hit with a $250 fine, and each offense/day after will be an additional $500...
LA Times Reported:
"California became the first state in the nation Saturday to adopt a law requiring large retail stores to provide gender-neutral toy sections under a bill signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom.
The new law, which takes effect in 2024, says that retail stores with 500 or more employees must sell some toys and child-care products outside of areas specifically labeled by gender. Retailers can continue to offer other toys and child-care goods in traditional boys and girls sections if they choose to.
Newsom offered no comment on the bill signing, one of several announced in the final batch of legislative actions weighed for the year.
Assembly Bill 1084 continues a gradual shift in the retail industry away from strictly marketing children’s products under traditional gender stereotypes, said Assemblyman Evan Low (D-Campbell), who introduced the legislation. Target dropped boys and girls toy sections in 2015, and other retailers have since moved away from gender-specific labels."
The BBC noted that "Clothing will be unaffected, but the law will affect toys and any "childcare items" intended to aid sleep, relaxation, feeding, teething, or sucking"
In its wording, it said the changes would help consumers spot "unjustified differences in similar products" and tackle gender bias in children's products."
"Retailers that fail to comply with the new law will be subject to minimal civil penalties of $250 for a first violation and $500 for additional violations."
Anything Else?
California has a not-so-silent war on store and employment brewing. Horrific laws that do not allow stores to prosecute shoplifters has forced even big-box store to close their doors.
Walgreens will soon be closing five San Francisco stores, a company spokesperson told SFGate on Oct. 12. The first store will close on Nov. 8, another on Nov. 11, two on Nov. 15, and the final location on Nov. 17. According to SFGate, Walgreens has decided to close these locations over shoplifting concerns that have had an impact on the company's bottom line, as well as the safety of its employees and customers.
Meanwhile, the state struggles with employment, a low police presence thanks to the defund crowd, and a spike in crime. Couple that with their homeless problem and the garbage and feces on the streets, Newsoms new rediculous law may prove to be the nail in California's economic coffin.
