GOP Launched Full Scale Attack On Biden's Evil IRS Plan
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is once again under fire for its latest tax audit policies that have been unfairly targeting low-income earners. A recent study conducted by the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) at Syracuse University found that taxpayers in the lowest income bracket are five times more likely to face an audit than those in the highest income bracket. This is an outrageous injustice!
In response to this, California Rep. Michelle Steel and Tennessee Sen. Bill Hagerty have just introduced the Stop the Nosy Obsession with Online Payments (SNOOP) Act into Congress that would stop the IRS from snooping in Americans’ online transactions over $600. This bill would return reporting requirements back before 2021 guidelines when payment platforms only provide information when payees make more than 200 transactions a year totaling over $20,000. This would be a huge victory for taxpayers’ privacy rights!
Unfortunately, President Biden is still pushing for Americans to report online transactions over $600 via platforms like PayPal and Venmo with 1099-K reports back to the IRS. This is totally unacceptable! Rep. Steel said, “We will not allow the Biden administration to weaponize government to target hardworking American taxpayers,” while Sen. Hagerty said, “It is regrettable that this Administration still insists on advancing their perilous and oppressive political agenda.”
We need to put a stop to this and pass the SNOOP Act! It would protect hardworking Americans from being taken advantage of by big brother tactics employed by President Biden's administration and restore confidence in our financial system so people can feel safe transacting online without worrying about unnecessary snooping from Washington D.C.
I introduced the SNOOP Act to strike the Biden Administration's provision requiring thousands of small businesses to provide their personal information to the IRS. It's time we stand up for our small businesses & put an end to this egregious overreach.https://t.co/SvtqNCtcVQ

Lawmakers need to stand up for our rights as taxpayers and make sure the SNOOP Act passes. It’s time we take a stand against this unfair treatment and protect our privacy rights. Call your representatives and make your voice heard!
