Gov Ivey Slammed Maxine Waters Over Comments That She Is 'Ignorant' And 'Racists'
Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey ripped into Rep. Maxine Waters on Monday after Waters trashed Ivey's campaign ad. The ad showed Ivey speaking directly to her voters and against Biden's border crisis.
"This is plain racist ignorance in your face," Waters said during on Easter Sunday. "And so, when you talk about responding, it’s more like ignoring and keeping up the fight against racism and discrimination and making sure that we do everything we can to get those who are elected out of office and elect progressive people."
The governor’s ad in question in a 30-second campaign spot in which she warned that "we’re all going to have to learn Spanish" if President Biden keeps "shipping illegal immigrants into our states."
"My message to Biden: No way Jose!" the governor says in the ad, adding: "The left can try to counsel me. I don’t care. But here in Alabama, we’re going to enforce the law."
The California blight lawmaker, Maxine Waters, was asked by MSNBC to respond to Ivey's campaign ad. "It is absolutely shameful that in this day and age that we have people who think like that, who speak like that, and who have access to the resources to purchase the kind of ads to just literally just spill that kind of mess across our screens," Waters said.
Here's her little segment:

In a post she made on Twitter Ivey responded to the liberal lawmaker, basically telling her to stuff it:
"There’s nothing racist with telling the truth about the disaster Joe Biden is causing with illegals invading our country. I’m not going to be lectured by a liberal Congresswoman from California. We’ll handle our business in Alabama."

I think Waters needs to check in with her voters because hardly anyone supports Biden right now. How can they? Look at the current state of things.
Just a third of all Americans (33%) approve of how President Biden is handling his job responsibilities, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll, the commander-in-chief’s worst performance yet in the benchmark survey.
On the flip side, 54% percent of respondents disapproved of Biden’s performance, with 43% saying that they “strongly” disapproved. By contrast, just 18% said they strongly approved of the 46th president.
Thirteen percent said they didn’t know or declined to answer the question, the highest percentage in the survey since January.
Biden’s approval rating among registered voters is a little better, sitting at 35% — another low for the survey and down 17 percentage points from his high approval rating in February 2021.
