He Saved Lives By Shooting Mall Gunman, The Lefts Is Trying To Destroy Him
A gunman opened fire in the food court at a mall in Indiana. He was immediately deemed a hero, and that is where it should have ended. Now the left is trying to destroy 22-year-old Elisjsha Dicken, accusing him of 'breaking the law' and being an 'armed vigilante'. Dickens is a lawful gun owner who thankfully was in the right place at the right time.
Within 15 seconds of a Greenwood man opening fire inside the Greenwood Park Mall, Dicken was able to step in and prevent further deaths by shooting the gunman. Unfortunately, the killer was able to wound several people and kill 3 others but the damage could have been worse.
Armed only with a handgun, police say Dicken engaged the shooter from a distance of perhaps 30 yards. Police say he was very proficient and tactically sound.
Dicken started making his way towards the gunman, motioning for people to leave behind him. The gunman tried to retreat back into the restroom, but Dicken continued on, shooting the suspect until he fell.
Now, this 'tactically sound' lawful gun owner is being demonized by liberals. For example, David Leavitt tweeted, “You’d never need a “Good Samaritan” with a gun at Greenwood Park Mall or at any other place if there weren’t any guns to begin with.”
He also opined, “It wasn’t a “Good Samaritan” at Greenwood Park Mall. It was an armed vigilante.”
And CBS 4 Indianapolis traffic anchor Justin Kollar suggested:
"The term, ‘Good Samaritan’ came from a Bible passage of a man from Samaria who stopped on the side of the road to help a man who was injured and ignored. I cannot believe we live in a world where the term can equally apply to someone *killing* someone… my God."
Michael Bloomberg-affiliated Shannon Watts, leader of Moms Demand Action, tweeted:
"The NRA won’t tell you that defensive gun use is rare, and data shows criminal carry laws increase gun crime and gun homicides in the states where they’re passed. But most of all, these deadly laws increase gun sales, which is the real reason they’re pushing them."
The cast of 'The View' claimed that the hero 'broke the law'—Well, they claimed he broke the laws of the mall.
"Listen, I was trained when I was at the justice department in firearms. And I was trained in defensive firearm training. It is very hard to hit a moving target. It is hard for people that are trained to hit a moving target. It is very lucky that that good Samaritan hit that moving target in that way."
Just a side note; I am not listing the gunman's name or information because screw that guy. I don't want to encourage others like him by giving their story air.
