Here's The State AG's Meeting Daily To Undermine Trump
A coordinated effort to obstruct the Trump administration is well underway, with nearly two dozen Democratic state attorneys general meeting daily to strategize against the policies and reforms the American people voted to implement.
According to a report from POLITICO, 23 state attorneys general hold daily conference calls to coordinate legal challenges, monitor ongoing lawsuits, and identify new ways to stall or block President Donald Trump’s agenda.
Their opposition targets some of the administration’s key priorities: eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse in government spending, protecting women’s sports, and securing the southern border through mass deportations. Yet, despite their efforts, Trump’s approval ratings are higher than they were at the beginning of his first term in 2017, and polling indicates strong public support for his policy initiatives.
The POLITICO report highlights how these Democratic attorneys general, aware that they no longer have the same leverage they did in 2017—when Trump won the presidency but lost the popular vote—are now focusing on legal obstruction as their primary weapon. Back then, Trump’s victory sparked nationwide protests and gave his opponents rhetorical ammunition to question the legitimacy of his presidency. This time, with Trump’s support stronger and his administration wasting no time in enacting policy changes, Democrats find themselves scrambling for a unifying strategy.

Hawaii Attorney General Anne Lopez openly acknowledged this shift, stating, “Right now in the United States, the Democratic AGs are the only group of people who are united and working to prevent some of these unconstitutional actions from continuing.”
Delaware Attorney General Kathy Jennings reinforced the sentiment, boasting about their daily strategy sessions: “We talk each and every day these days, and you’d think we start to get tired of it, but we’ve just grown closer over time. And in the next four years, we’re going to grow very close.”
Among their key concerns is the Trump administration’s aggressive push to reestablish control over the U.S.-Mexico border. The White House has already launched mass deportation plans and cracked down on sanctuary policies, sending a clear message that the era of lax immigration enforcement is over. Additionally, Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative has taken aim at bureaucratic waste, making it more difficult for Democrats to use federal spending as a means of advancing their policies.
Despite the coordinated legal resistance, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi remains confident that these efforts will ultimately fail. Speaking on Fox News, Bondi dismissed the Democratic AGs’ legal maneuvering as little more than political gamesmanship. “The president of course is going to prevail, he’s looking out for our tax dollars,” she stated in a mid-February interview with Martha MacCallum.
