Hope Walz Comments On Rogan
Hope Walz, the 23-year-old daughter of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, has recently drawn attention for an unusual dating standard: she and her friends avoid men who follow podcaster and UFC commentator Joe Rogan on Instagram. Walz explained that this “litmus test” has been her group’s go-to method for years, serving as a red flag for incompatible values.
“It’s literally never failed us,” she claimed, adding that following Rogan often indicates a lack of alignment with her and her friends’ principles. Despite acknowledging some “heartbreak” or “disappointment” resulting from this rule, she maintains it’s been effective.
Walz criticized Rogan for spreading “misinformation” on his immensely popular podcast, accusing him of lying on his platform.
Her remarks echo a broader trend among some young progressives who view Rogan as a controversial figure for his open dialogue on divisive topics and his frequent challenges to mainstream narratives.

The irony of Walz’s comments is hard to ignore, given her father’s own contentious history with truth-telling. Governor Tim Walz has faced accusations of “stolen valor” for allegedly embellishing his military record, including claims of being an Army combat veteran.
He also admitted to fabricating details about being in China during the Tiananmen Square massacre, brushing it off as getting “caught up” in rhetoric. His statements, coupled with the Harris-Walz campaign’s widely criticized misinformation tactics, cast a shadow on his administration’s credibility.
Even CNN fact-checkers, not typically known for targeting Democrats, labeled the Harris-Walz campaign’s social media presence as “repeatedly deceptive.” An entire account, @KamalaHQLies, emerged to debunk misleading posts from the campaign’s official page.
This backdrop makes Hope Walz’s condemnation of “misinformation” particularly ironic, as her father has both perpetuated and defended controversial statements during his political career.
