Iran Foolishly Launches Dozens Of Missiles At U.S. Forces In Iraq
Iran has been acting up in the Middle East. They attacked our American Embassy in Iraq and for some reason did not take the hint after we took out one of their Generals. Apparently Iran thinks it can take us on, as they have just fired missiles at U.S. Forces Tuesday night. I guess they are in for a painful life lesson.
"Iran fired "more than a dozen ballistic missiles" into Iraq, targeting U.S. military and coalition forces early Wednesday, Pentagon officials said.
The missiles targeted military bases in Al-Assad and Irbil, the Pentagon added. There was no immediate word on injuries or damage.
White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said after the attack: “We are aware of the reports of attacks on U.S. facilities in Iraq. The president has been briefed and is monitoring the situation closely and consulting with his national security team.” It was not immediately clear how the U.S. may respond.
The Pentagon added: “In recent days and in response to Iranian threats and actions, the Department of Defense has taken all appropriate measures to safeguard our personnel and partners. These bases have been on high alert due to indications that the Iranian regime planned to attack our forces and interests in the region. As we evaluate the situation and our response, we will take all necessary measures to protect and defend U.S. personnel, partners, and allies in the region.”

Fox News reporter Jennifer Griffin reported on the attack.
"I’m talking to a well-placed source in the U.S. military, on the ground in Iraq, and that source tells me that these are multiple tactical ballistic, or cruise missiles that are being fired from Iran at multiple U.S. bases and U.S. targets inside Iraq. They are under fire right now, I asked if they had any plans to evacuate, remember there are 5,000 American troops in Iraq and I was told ‘no, we are defending.’ So, expect an American response.”
“This is something we have been expecting all afternoon, there were situation room meetings as well meetings with top officials here at the Pentagon,” Griffin continued. “There was a lot of chatter, we were told intelligence suggesting that the Iranians would strike at U.S. bases in Iraq after the mourning for Qassem Soleimani ended earlier today.”
“But right now, in real-time, we can confirm that multiple sites, including Ain Assad Air Base in Western Iraq, where most of the U.S. troops are based,” Griffin continued.
Trump tweeted about the attack pointing out that there were no casualties.
"All is well! Missiles launched from Iran at two military bases located in Iraq. Assessment of casualties & damages taking place now. So far, so good! We have the most powerful and well-equipped military anywhere in the world, by far! I will be making a statement tomorrow morning."
