Jean-Pierre Thought She Prepared This Time, Doocy Proved Her Dead Wrong
Fox News's Peter Doocy caught though White House Press Secretary off Gaurd and unprepared again. You can tell that Jean-Pierre really thought she had it all together this time, but Doocy proved her dead wrong!
The line of questioning circled around a recent report that the Department of Homeland Security released stating that they were not able to properly vet the evacuees from Afghanistan. The White House claimed that no one from Afghanistan would enter the US without undergoing an extensive and rigorous vetting process.
Jean-Pierre, prepped for this part of the questions and immediately called the DHS a liar saying “it [DHS] didn’t take into account the key steps that we have taken as a U.S. government, the rigorous, multi-layered screening and vetting process that we take as a government,” she replied. “That was not part of the report. Again, this report is not accurate, I know that our team has spoken to your team about this and the DHS has provided a comment saying just that. So again, I refer you to DHS.”
The DHS report that Doocy is referring to shows that the government was not able to collect basic information on every refugee, including names, birthdays, and identification. The report (that you can view for yourself here) clearly states that many Afghan's records were incomplete. DHS has deemed the situation a major 'risk to national security.
Basically, Jean-Pierre says that the White House is sure there isn't a security risk from the evacuees despite evidence to the contrary. She assured the public not to fear a possible terrorist attack.
Here's where Jean-Pierre gets turned on her head. After some light arguing over the possible terrorist threat from the Afghan evacuees Doocy slapped her with Biden's recent 'MAGA' rhetoric.
“So in the last week or so, we’ve heard the president calling elected Republicans a threat to the country,” he said. “Does he think MAGA Republicans are more of a threat to the country than people DHS says may pose a risk to national security and the safety of local communities?”
“MAGA Republicans have made their choice. They embrace anger. They thrive on chaos. They live not in the light of truth, but in the shadow of lies. Together, we can choose a different path,” the president said Thursday.
It's very dangerous and telling that this White House can't understand the concerns about having unvetted 'evacuees' from a country that harbored terrorists from 9/11 but sees terrorists in its own everyday citizens.
