Jimmy Fallon Trolls Beto O’Rourke’s 2020 Announcement And it’s Actually HILARIOUS
Creepy weirdo, Beto O’Rourke announced that he’ll be throwing his hat in the ring as a 2020 presidential hopeful. Something that everyone saw coming despite O’Rourke’s ridiculous attempts to deny the idea. His announcement video was- well, weird…
O’Rourke flailed around stating: “Amy and I are happy to share with you that I’m running to serve you as the next president of the United States of America,” O’Rourke said. “This is a defining moment of truth for this country and for every single one of us. The challenges we face right now, the interconnected crises in our democracy and our climate, have never been greater.”
O’Rourke’s announcement came hours after the publication of a fawning article on the former congressman by Vanity Fair.
“I want to be in it,” the former Texas congressman told the magazine. “Man, I’m just born to be in it, and want to do everything I humanly can for this country at this moment.”
RNC spokesman Michael Ahrens said in a statement: “It’s telling that the Democrats’ biggest star is someone whose biggest accomplishment is losing. Beto O’Rourke failed to get anything done in Congress, and with extreme policies like government-run health care and tearing down border barriers, his 2020 bid won’t be successful either.”
Something is seriously ‘off’ with this guy and we aren’t the only ones to notice it. Dr. Drew Pinsky has said that he thinks ‘something’s not right’ with Beto O’Rourke.
The Celebrity Rehab host shared his ‘gut’ feeling with Fox Nation host Brian Kilmeade on Friday, after listening to a portion of Democratic presidential nomination candidate O’Rourke.
‘I thought that was Tony Robbins,’ Pinsky said of O’Rourke’s exuberant effect in the video. Robbins is a motivational speaker.
‘I’m just saying, there’s something gonna go down there. I can feel it coming. I don’t know what it is… There’s something not right,’ Pinsky continued.
‘What are you picking up?’ Kilmeade pressed Pinsky, who is an internist and addiction medicine specialist.
‘Something in my gut. I’m not sure yet,’ Pinsky said. ‘I haven’t really examined it carefully enough. I just can tell there’s a disconnect between what people think they’re seeing and what’s there. That’s where I’m at.’
In addition to the pro’s finding this guy creepy, late-night host Jimmy Fallon caught the vibe and created this hilarious spoof:
O’Rourke particularly irked others after he ruled out a second Senate run last month, this time for Sen. John Cornyn’s (R-Texas) seat, which given his prominence in the state he would have a good chance to win, as it was seen as a move serving purely his own interests.
