John Stewart Comes Back To Knock Some Sense Into Liberals
Retired late-night host Jon Stewart floored liberals during his appearance on 'The Colbert Report' when he pointed out the painfully obvious origins of the COVID-19 virus. During the show, Stephen Colbert brought up the virus and Stewart mocked the left for ignoring the evidence pointing to the Wuhan lab as the ground zero.
Stewart began with a half-serious joke, “Science has, in many ways, helped ease the suffering of this pandemic which was more than likely caused by science.”
Colbert, who tried to play stupid almost threw his coffee at Stewart out of shock, "What do you mean? Do you mean perhaps there's a chance that this was created in a lab, there's an investigation.."
"A chance? Oh, my God!" an outraged Stewart shouted.
Colbert demanded evidence and Stewart began with the most obvious:
"There's a novel respiratory coronavirus overtaking Wuhan, China. What do we do? Oh, you know who we could ask? The Wuhan Novel Respiratory Coronavirus lab. The disease is the same name as the lab. That's just -- that's just a little too weird, don't you think? And then the actual scientists are, like, how did this – “So, wait a minute, you work at the Wuhan respiratory coronavirus lab, how did this happen? They're like, “Oooh, a penguin kissed a turtle?” No! The name of the lab! Look at the name! Let me see your business card! Show me your business card! “Oh, I work at the coronavirus lab in Wuhan!” “Oh! Because there's a coronavirus loose in Wuhan. How did that happen?”
Stewart added, "Maybe a bat flew into the throat of a turkey and sneezed into my chili and now we all have coronavirus.”
Colbert tried to reel the comedian in but it was too late. That's when Stewart hit him and the audience with an undeniable comparison:
"Oh, my God! Oh my God! Stewart shouted. Continuing, "There's been an outbreak of chocolatey goodness near Hershey, Pennsylvania, what do you think happened? “I don't know, maybe a steam shovel made it with a cocoa bean, or maybe it's the [bleep ] chocolate factory!”
Stewart pointed out how stupid and irrational the left has been trying to avoid calling a duck- a duck.
Colbert admitted that Stewart 'could be right' but added that China has a large bat population,
Stewart snarked, "It's a local specialty and the only place to find bats. You won't find bats anywhere else. Oh, wait! Austin Texas, have thousands of them that fly out of a cave every night, every night at dusk! Is there a coronavirus in au Austin, an Austin coronavirus? No, doesn't seem to be an Austin coronavirus. The only coronavirus is in Wuhan where they have a lab called -- what's the lab called again, Stephen?"
Colbert was forced to answer and slighted Stewart for his use of logic, "The Wuhan Novel Respiratory Coronavirus lab. And how long have you worked for Senator Ron Johnson?"
Stewart explained that 'this is not a conspiracy'. With the mounting evidence that supports the virus came from the lab, including high-ranking Chinese defectors, I have to believe that the left is being willfully ignorant here. Maybe it's to avoid seeming 'racist' but it seems just as likely that Democrats want to cover up and US involvement with the Wuhan lab— Particularly left-wing funding that allegedly went towards 'gain of function research' at the lab.
