Joke Gone Wrong: Will Mitt Romney Really Run Against Trump In 2020?
The never-Trumper, Bill Kristol threw it out on Twitter that Mitt Romney may be a better choice than Trump for President. His little pun failed of course as no one in their right mind would want Romney in the White House and Trump won Kristol’s poll by a landslide. Trump 63% to Romney’s 37% proving that not even Kristol’s liberal fans want Romney in office.
However, it seems Romney has taken this little joke seriously. There is now talk that he may run against Trump and Romney’s Twitter is reading very anti-Trump at the moment. Did this poll give Romney hope?
Let’s see how much of a hellscape Twitter is. Whom do you respect more?

Romney has re-emerged, as he does occasionally, to be the self-appointed voice of morality. He slammed President Trump’s behavior during the phone call to Ukraine’s President Zelensky as “wrong and appalling”.
By all appearances, the President’s brazen and unprecedented appeal to China and to Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden is wrong and appalling.

BREAKING: Senator Mitt Romey has been calling conservative donors asking about a potential 2020 primary run against President Trump
— Austere Scholar Poso (@JackPosobiec) October 4, 2019
Trump fired back at Romney reminding the Senator he doesn’t have what it takes to lead a state, much less a country:
“Somebody please wake up Mitt Romney and tell him that my conversation with the Ukrainian President was a congenial and very appropriate one, and my statement on China pertained to corruption, not politics. If Mitt worked this hard on Obama, he could have won. Sadly, he choked!”
Trump added, “Mitt Romney never knew how to win. He is a pompous “ass” who has been fighting me from the beginning, except when he begged me for my endorsement for his Senate run (I gave it to him), and when he begged me to be Secretary of State (I didn’t give it to him). He is so bad for R’s!”
The President finsihed him off with, “I’m hearing that the Great People of Utah are considering their vote for their Pompous Senator, Mitt Romney, to be a big mistake. I agree! He is a fool who is playing right into the hands of the Do Nothing Democrats!”
Romney hasn’t officially announced he’s really going to run as of yet. He has, however, given a strong indication that he is at least thinking about it.
