KJP Gets Owned By A Reporter After Screwing Up The TN Shooting Facts
It's a tragedy when politicians use a tragedy to push their own agenda. No one should use the victims of gun violence as pawns for political power. That's exactly what happened when the White House and Democrats used the Nashville shooting to push their gun control agenda.
Audrey Hale, the 28-year-old female shooter, was armed with three guns, including a semi-automatic rifle. She murdered three children, ages nine or under, and three adults in cold blood at Covenant School. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made a false statement about the victims:
“We can’t keep seeing what we saw today. Right now, we’re hearing six kids — six elementary [school] kids dead,” the press secretary said.
A reporter interjected and corrected her, “Three kids and three adults.”
President Joe Biden was quick to use the tragedy to push his own agenda. “I call on Congress again to pass my assault weapons ban,” Biden said. “It’s about time that we begin to make some more progress.”
Banning guns isn't the answer. Criminals are going to get their hands on them, while lawful citizens will fall victim to their crimes. We must take action to stop the senseless gun violence and ensure that no more innocent lives will be lost. We owe it to the victims of this tragedy and all the victims of gun violence to make a difference.
We can't use this tragedy to push our own political agenda. We must look at the root causes of gun violence, such as mental health, racism, and poverty, and take action to prevent these tragedies from happening in the future. We must empower lawful gun owners, better mental health awareness/treatment, and create safer schools.
It's wrong to exploit a tragedy to advance a political agenda. The victims of gun violence deserve better. We need to focus on real solutions to gun violence, such as better mental health resources and safer schools. We must take the steps necessary to make sure that this never happens again.
