Meghan McCain Blows A Fuse After Trump Pulls Out Of Syria: ‘You Feckless Unpatriotic Cowards!’ [Video]
President Trump vowed during his 2016 campaign that he would pull out of the Middle East and cut spending on foreign nations. When it was ‘just talk’, Trump had the support of the Republican party but during his presidency, he’s taken on a lot of criticism from those very supporters for putting his plans into action.
Monday evening Trump announced that American troops would be leaving Syria ahead of Hungary’s planned attack. The President maintains that, though Syria helped the US with ISIS they were paid and supplied handsomely and that he feels that the deal is done. Trump also defended his decision by adding that Hungary and Syria have been at war for decades and that the US needed to allow them to ‘work their issues out’.
Trump’s announcement has turned both parties on their head and he’s taken criticism from fellow Republicans like Nikki Haley and Lindsey Graham. But to that point -it is what he said he would do back when he was just ‘candidate Trump’.
Deceased Sen. John McCain’s daughter, Meghan McCain, typically stands against her fellow ‘The View’ co-hosts as the ‘Conservative voice’ on the show, however, she joined the bandwagon Monday. Calling the White House ‘Feckless Unpatriotic Cowards’ for supporting the President.
“I’m going a little bit rogue but I’ve been so mad this morning and so upset about this news that we are abandoning our Kurdish allies in the Middle East,” McCain said. “These are allies of ours that American soldiers are still continuing to fight alongside. All we did was arm them and they fought for America.”
“Right now we’re just saying we’re just going to leave them and abandon them and to everyone in the White House and every Republican who was mad that President Obama pulled out of Iraq, you feckless unpatriotic cowards!” McCain shook her head. “I cannot believe this is where we’re at diplomatic-wise and I cannot — what message is this sending to our allies and American troops who have fought and died for this?”
McCain apologized for veering off-topic, saying that she felt like it was something that she needed to say.
“It’s very important,” Behar agreed. “Why do you think this administration has decided to do it?”
McCain responded, “It is — he ran on isolationism which again I think is bat-crap insane for a whole variety of reasons. It might be a wag the dog situation.”
McCain concluded by arguing that pulling troops from Syria would only allow ISIS to regain strength and territory.
“When people say we’re sick of fighting them we can fight them over there or we can fight them over here,” she said. “I am a person who believes this will only get worse as it did when we left Iraq.”
In fairness, McCain, just like her father, has been a long-time outspoken never-Trumper. She has dealt out criticism against Trump in the past. However, this time she attacked the entire White House.
But the ladies of ‘The View’ were all too happy to have McCain go ‘rouge’ on live television.
