Miley Cyrus Gives Classic Christmas Song A Feminist Spin [Video]

On Thursday night, Miley Cyrus made an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” to perform a skit with Jimmy.

The performance was to be a sketch performing “Santa Baby”, which was originally sung by Eartha Kitt. Apparently, this song is offensive to Miley now, but singing about drugs and sex and not being fully dressed is much less offensive than a 65-year-old Christmas song talking about what the lady wants for Christmas.

“I think I might need to change some of these lyrics,” she told Jimmy immediately before they were set to perform it. Elaborating about the lyrics she says, “Am I saying I’m going to hook up with Santa if he buys me all this stuff?”

As they get into the performance, it becomes apparent that feminism has infiltrated the lyrics as Miley sings about,

“Listen, Santa, to what I say: A girl’s best friend is equal pay,” she performed. “So, stop interrupting me when I talk, and don’t text me pictures of your… ”

“Santa baby, I’d love to know my a– won’t get grabbed at work,” she added, “by some ignorant jerk.”

You can watch the performance below.

This is the second song this year to come under fire for being inappropriate. The other being, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”.

Earlier this month, many radio stations pulled the Christmas classic from the air, because it somehow promotes “sexual misconduct” as it’s been caught up in this ridiculous #MeToo movement where the popular thing to do now is for women to label every sexual encounter, or anytime a man flirts with them as rape.

However, one Kentucky radio station made their position known by playing the Christmas classic back to back for two hours.

Compare the lyrics of Baby It’s Cold Outside or Santa Baby to one of the most popular songs of 2018,

Drake – In My Feelings

“Bring that a**, bring that a**, bring that a** back
B-bring that a**, bring that a**, bring that a** back
Shawty say the n***a that she with can’t hit
But shawty, I’ma hit it, hit it like I can’t miss
(Clap that a**, you’re the only one I love)
(Clap that a**, clap, clap)
Bring that a** back
(Clap that a**, you’re the only one I love)
(Let’s go, let’s go)
Bring that ass back”

Ok, so he’s using a racial slur and sexually assaulting a woman, but everyone loves the song. The song even went viral because of the whole “Kiki challenge.”

But this is entirely more appropriate and accepted? Absurd, America. Absurd.
