Mother Of Murdered Teen Pleads: We Need More Police On The Streets!
A broken-hearted mother pleaded with New York officials to put more police officers on the streets after her son was shot last year. Eve Hendricks lost her son Brendan during the massive rise in crime following the 'defund the police' movement started by the BlackLiveMatter folks and enforced by Democrats.
Hendricks says she can't save her son, but that she hopes to save other parents from feeling her same pain, adding "gun violence should not be the end of a child's life." Hendrix is referring to the increase in the use of illegal arms by criminals since officers are no longer able to bust the gun dealers as they had done before. She told "Fox & Friends First" that lawmakers need to put more police back on the streets.
"Before my son Brendan was murdered, gun violence did not affect me," Hendricks stated. "Now that I'm living it, I just don't see and think it is right for any other parent to live this way, to feel this way, to feel such pain."
"No mother should bury their child."
New York City and other large metropolitan areas have seen a crime surge in recent months following the 2020 push to defund police departments. There have been 21 children killed in New York City street violence in 2021 so far.
