MSNBC Host Tries To Sugar-Coat Biden's Socialist Tendencies
I can only imagine how hard it is to try to continually defend the Biden administration. Just take a look at how backward one MSNBC host ran himself. Host Ali Velshi tried to say that Biden will not turn American into a socialist country adding that it's a "lie!" made by Republicans. Only to spend most of his segment arguing for socialism.
It's enough to make your head spin- but also pretty comical. The left has so many active narratives running that it's just too much for poor Velshi to keep up with.
He began with a quote from Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell: “We’re confronted with severe challenges from a new administration and a narrow majority of Democrats in the House and a 50/50 Senate to turn America into a socialist country and that’s 100 percent of my focus.”
Velshi rebutted, "Well that’s 100 percent a lie. In fairness, McConnell has since softened his view about obstruction being 100 percent of his focus, but he still let the cat out of the bag. The GOP is a party with no actual agenda other than to sabotage the current administration. And as an economics guy, I’m troubled by the continued false narrative about socialism."
The host then tries to explain socialism, as if the people aren't aware, "Socialism is a system in which the government owns the means of production, meaning actual ownership of factories, hospitals, even machinery used to produce goods and services that people consume."
He first defends Biden and tries to paint the Democrats as a 'moderate, "Biden has not promised nor carried out anything that remotely resembles socialism." But quickly starting in on his pro-socialism ideologies, "Even if you believe, as I do, that America should have a single-payer health care system, something that Biden disagrees with, that’s still not socialism. If you believe student debt should be canceled or that the minimum wage should be $15 an hour or that carbon emissions should be cut, none of that is socialism. What Biden does believe is that the era of big government is back. The idea of government involvement in certain aspects of public policy can be helpful." Velshi shouts, "That’s still not socialism!"
The host then tries to claim that Biden, not Trump, beefed up vaccine production. As if the former administration hadn't cut the tape and kickstarted project 'warp speed':
"Americans are warming up to the idea of more government especially during a once-in-a-generation pandemic when a powerful and effective government could have ensured America had enough PPE, imposed mask mandates, accelerated testing, and boosted vaccine production, all things President Biden did once he assumed office. In fact, a recent NBC News poll found 55 percent of Americans say the government should do more to solve the country's problems."
Not to be outdone by his liberal colleagues, Velshi tossed in some anti-Reagan hate and argued that we need more government interference in our day-to-day lives. Proving, that no matter how hard they may try, liberals cannot hide their real intentions. Even when they're paid to.
