MSNBC Mitchell Was Forced To Correct The Big Lie About DeSantis
Liberals news host and source of constant disinformation, Andrea Mitchell, begrudgingly walked back the big lie MSM has spread about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his education plan.
In a recent segment on MSNBC, Vice President Kamala Harris was asked by Mitchell about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis's position on teaching slavery in schools. However, Mitchell's initial comments were deemed "imprecise" and "shameful" by DeSantis's press secretary, Bryan Griffin. While Mitchell did eventually correct her statement, her biased reporting perpetuated the false idea that honest teaching about slavery and its aftermath is defined solely by left-wing historians, teachers, and activists.
DeSantis has been a vocal advocate for a fact-based and balanced approach to teaching history in schools. He has opposed the use of some authors and source materials that historians and teachers say makes it all but impossible for students to understand the broader historic and political context behind slavery and its aftermath in the years since.
Deputy Press Secretary Jeremy Redfern also pointed out that some of the material in an AP African-Studies course, like queer theory, has nothing to do with slavery or Jim Crow. This is exactly the kind of politicization that DeSantis is fighting against.
It's clear that biased liberal media outlets like MSNBC are more interested in pushing their own agenda than reporting the truth. This kind of behavior undermines the integrity of journalism and contributes to the divisive political climate that we find ourselves in today.
DeSantis's commitment to fact-based education is exactly what our country needs right now. We cannot allow left-wing activists to dictate what is taught in our schools. Instead, we must ensure that our children are taught the truth about our country's history, even if it is uncomfortable at times.
We need leaders like DeSantis who are committed to a fact-based approach to education, and we must hold journalists accountable when they fail to report the truth. Our children deserve nothing less than an honest and balanced education.
