Olbermann Learns Not To Mess With This GOP Congresswoman
Former MSNBC Host Keith Olbermann recently made the mistake of trying to spar with Rep. Nancy Mace on Twitter.
Olbermann has become known for his numerous attempts to antagonize prominent conservative women in the past, and this time was no different.
Mace had posted a tweet accurately pointing out the lack of prosecution of Hillary Clinton. Olbermann felt compelled to respond, accusing her of “hallucinating.”
What happened with Hillary Clinton is a travesty against justice. The facts speak for themselves: she unlawfully set up a private email server in her bathroom and stocked it with documents illegally stripped of classified markings. When this was discovered, she didn’t exactly come clean. In fact, it can be argued she obstructed justice.
Mace didn’t let this stand. She posted a CNN fact-check on the matter, making her point with further accuracy and adding emphasis.
She also made sure to mention other incidents involving Hillary Clinton, such as the very real allegations of her aides using hammers to destroy government devices. To top it off, the FBI, far from prosecuting her, actually helped cover up Clinton’s crimes.
In light of this, Mace’s point that two-tiered justice pertains in the United States is sound. Conservative Americans are persecuted and held to the letter of the law, while Democrats like Clinton are allowed to act with impunity.
This brings us back to Olbermann and Mace’s Twitter exchange. Democrats have to be wondering why they still insist on standing with Clinton. After all, it would be so much easier to sit on the moral high ground when pointing out Donald Trump’s sometimes questionable behavior if only the Democrats were willing to admit that Clinton behaved just as badly – if not worse.
Alas, it looks like amnesty for Clinton is here to stay, lest Democrats admit that they have a clear double standard when it comes to justice. Not only that, they’re unwilling to humble themselves and admit they were wrong when it comes to Hillary Clinton’s misdeeds.
The only other option left to them at this point, other than admitting their faults, is to keep engaging in denial and pretend everything involving Hillary Clinton was perfectly above board.
It’s a coward’s way out, and it’s now become painfully obvious thanks to Keith Olbermann’s shoddy attempt to save face.
