Omar Loses It, Calls ICE 'Un-American' - Demands It Be Defunded
Rep. Illhan Omar (D) thinks that detaining people who crossed the U.S. border illegally is 'Un-American'. Though the process is necessary to properly vet anyone who may (or may not) enter the United States. Omar, kicked it up a notch by demanding that ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) be defunded.
Omar shared as much on her own Twitter feed: "ICE is requesting 500 beds from Sherburne County to detain immigrants. It’s un-American to criminalize immigrants for wanting to come to this country for a better life. This is why ICE needs to be defunded."

Back in February, the freshman congresswoman refered to President Trump as "Individual 1," and insists he doesn’t have “public support” to “ram his hateful wall through Congress.”
“Let’s stand firm: #Not1Dollar to DHS,” Omar then urges fellow Democrats.
While there have been growing calls from Democrats to abolish ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), there hasn’t been a strong demand to defund the entire Department of Homeland Security, which also includes the Transportation Safety Administration, Secret Service, Coast Guard and Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Calling to defund Homeland security is a disgustingly reckless move, especially for a politician. What could anymore gain from getting rid of the department whose primary purpose is to protect the United States from terrorist attacks?
Omar's long-running anti-American comments have made her the target of public outrage and disbelief. Her recent call to defund ICE just takes the cake of radical demands she's made in her short political career.
Omar has posted several controversial tweets since being elected to Congress, including when she accused Trump of wanting a “coup” against Venezuela and insisted that Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., was “compromised.”
She also has posted several tweets attacking Israel, including one in which she agreed with a liberal activist that current-day Israel is similar to the U.S. South during the era of racial segregation. Not to mention her disrespectful comments about 9/11 where Omar downplayed the attacks by saying 'some people did something'.
