Colbert Has Ice Queen Pelosi Giving Election Predictions Now...LOL
I just want to know who the heck thought this was a good idea. Late-night host Stephen Colbert brought on Washington's most hated politician to give some 2022 pre-elections predictions. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is hated by conservatives and liberals alike. The tiny group of voters she may have is so small they're really considered fringe.
Even my more liberal family members can't stand her. She rules over old Dems with fear and the young Dems want her to retire already. So I found it odd that anyone would give her airtime before the elections. She did mention something I found pretty telling so let's talk about it.
Of course, Pelosi thinks Democrats are going to maintain the majority after the elections. A shocked Colbert asked her how given the all evidence to the contrary. That's when she hinted that she has been planning this election since Biden took office:
"We started right away to prepare for the next election in terms of organization, own the ground. When you mobilize, you must own the ground to take out the vote. You have to do that with inspiration and how it put together our messaging and that's the second "M." And the third is money.
So, we're getting ready for the election. That was in December of 2020. In January 6, you know what happened, an insurrection incited by the president of the United States on the U.S. Capitol, on our Constitution, on our democracy. The greatest influx of candidates came forward, young people, people of color, people of different generations, different backgrounds and the rest, the beautiful diversity of America, came forward. They didn't pay attention to those pundits who said you can't win.
They went in with courage and confidence that they could win. So when Roe v. Wade came down, boom, we were totally ready. And that just caused a whole different attitude on the part of some of whether we could win. We always believed we could win because we knew we had to, because our democracy was on the ballot, our planet was on the ballot, a women's--everything was on the ballot in this election, more than in regular-- majorities come and go."
This has me wondering. Over the last two years, there have been a lot of trash stories coming out about Republicans. Conservative voters have been targeted in unprecedented ways. Washington has a Hollywood producer filming their J6 committee. Meanwhile, Democrats have pushed hard to make believe that they never supported the failed policies they pushed while Trump was in office—Like defunding the police.
In short, it's been a manic two years with high prices, crime, and a ton of fighting. Don't forget the borders. How much of it comes from Pelosi's 'plans' to take the midterms? I mean, is the big plan to just confuse the public to death until their so desperate for a shred of normality they'll just do anything you say?
Just a thought.
