Report Examines Update In Americans Decision In November
For years, Democrats and the media have treated Donald Trump as a political anomaly—someone voters would eventually grow tired of, someone whose policies were too radical, someone whose behavior would ultimately be his downfall. But now, as Trump 2.0 moves forward at full throttle, even some former Biden voters are finding themselves impressed. And that, more than anything, is why Democrats are floundering to craft an effective message against him.
Frank Luntz, the well-known pollster and messaging guru, is waiting—waiting for Democrats to launch a coherent attack against Trump. But so far, nothing. And there’s a simple reason: the core elements of Trump’s agenda are wildly popular. According to polling, about 60% of voters support the big-ticket policies he’s pushing—cutting government waste, securing the border, and taking decisive action on issues that Washington has danced around for decades.
Luntz recently ran a focus group with Biden-to-Trump voters, and the results stunned CNN host Brianna Keilar. These voters love what Trump is doing. Sure, they might wish he were a bit more polite in his delivery, but when it comes to his actions, they’re all in.
"They love the pace of change. They were very fed up over the last four years. They wanted action. They wanted results," Luntz explained. "They looked at prices. They looked at affordability. They looked at immigration. And they didn’t see anything happening. They still don’t like what he says, but they like what he does."

That is a seismic shift. In 2016 and 2020, Trump’s brash personality was the single biggest thing holding him back with some voters. But now? That concern is secondary. His presidency is being judged on results—and people are seeing action in real time.
Take Alan Shindelman, a New York photographer who spoke to Newsweek. He doesn’t consider himself a hardcore Trump supporter, but he sees the value in what’s happening:
"Sure, a lot of the policies maybe are not exactly what was promised or the best thing in my personal opinion, but at least I can clearly see [Trump] is there. The administration is there to do work."
That’s the point. The difference between Trump’s first term and this one is that Trump isn’t fighting to establish himself anymore—he’s executing. The Department of Government Efficiency is cutting through bureaucratic dead weight. The border crisis is being addressed. Spending is being slashed.
And it’s not just anecdotal. Trump’s approval numbers are climbing, reaching some of the best marks of his political career. RealClearPolitics and FiveThirtyEight—two sources that certainly don’t lean conservative—both show his ratings improving. Meanwhile, in the left-leaning corners of Reddit, people are admitting, "Whether you like him or dislike him, he did a lot of what he said he’s going to do his first week."
