Report Lodges Allegations Against Congresswoman Not Paying Fee
Representative Jasmine Crockett of Texas has cultivated a reputation as a progressive firebrand—sharp-tongued, headline-hungry, and, increasingly, controversy-prone. But while her rhetoric on Capitol Hill may stir applause among the activist left, her behavior off the House floor is drawing an entirely different kind of attention—this time, from creditors.
According to a report from Fox News Digital, Rep. Crockett has refused to pay over $3,000 in homeowner association fees for her luxury Dallas condo, a delinquency dating back more than a year. County records confirm a lien was filed on April 11, 2024, by the Westside Condominium Association. The statement is damning: she is “in default,” has “failed and refused” to pay, and continues to do so despite repeated demands. As a result, the Association now holds a legal claim over her property—a black mark that remains unresolved as of the most recent county records.
Jasmine Crockett makes $174,000 a year in Congress.
The average Texan makes $52,885 per year.
Meanwhile, Crockett says she doesn’t “get enough money.”

To be clear, this is not a case of financial hardship. Crockett’s campaign expenditures suggest anything but. In 2025 alone, her political operation shelled out over $25,000 on luxury hotels and limousine services, and nearly $50,000 more on “security.” This isn’t a struggling public servant—it’s someone spending extravagantly in one arena while shirking basic obligations in another.
This episode fits into a broader pattern. Crockett has already faced scrutiny for falsely suggesting that Jeffrey Epstein’s political donations benefited Republicans, despite clear public records showing the opposite. That was more than a misstep—it was an attempt to rewrite a deeply documented scandal for partisan gain.
And then there are the ideological flourishes. Crockett has publicly claimed that white supremacists are behind most of America’s crime—an assertion both statistically unfounded and politically divisive. It plays well on social media, but it does little to address the complex realities of crime and community safety, especially in cities facing real public safety crises.

What’s most concerning here is the consistency of the contradictions. A would-be Senate candidate who won’t pay a $3,000 condo bill while spending tens of thousands on personal comfort. A lawmaker who casts herself as a truth-teller while peddling distortions about one of the darkest political scandals in recent memory. A progressive voice who claims moral clarity while neglecting basic civic responsibility.
Leadership begins with accountability. And right now, the only thing Jasmine Crockett seems accountable to is her own ambition.
