Reports Indicated Harris May Ramp Up For Run
Kamala Harris is reportedly ready to give it another shot—another presidential run, that is. According to Axios, the Vice President is quietly laying the groundwork for a 2028 White House campaign, despite her spectacular flameout in the 2020 primary, where she failed to win a single delegate and dropped out before a single vote was cast.
This time, she’s positioning herself as the natural heir to the Biden legacy. The problem? No one outside of her inner circle seems to think that’s a good idea.

For MAGA Republicans—and frankly, for a lot of Democrats not under the spell of identity politics—this is welcome news. A Kamala Harris candidacy sets the stage for what could be a political demolition derby. If JD Vance ends up as the GOP nominee, as many now expect, the matchup would be as brutal as it is lopsided. Harris struggles in unscripted settings. Vance thrives in them. She leans heavily on clichés and canned phrases. He leans into precision, clarity, and populist fire. The contrast would be hard to ignore, even for the legacy media.
What makes this especially rich is Harris’s own perception of her political value. Despite her low approval ratings, lackluster public appearances, and a vice presidency marked more by gaffes than accomplishments, Harris still manages to carry herself as if she's a historic stateswoman awaiting her moment. She recently claimed—apparently with a straight face—that someone told her she’s the most qualified person to be president. Internet commenters were quick to note that the “someone” may have been the bottom of a wine glass.

And that brings us to the real issue: Kamala Harris has become a caricature of political hubris. She’s managed to turn a historic vice presidency into a punchline, one awkward word salad and forced laugh at a time. Her public speeches are often riddled with vague platitudes and tautologies—“We must work together to work together”—and her political instincts are anything but sharp. Yet, she persists, seemingly insulated from reality by a mix of media flattery and political calculation.
Her first campaign was a masterclass in how to squander media hype, money, and momentum in record time. If she runs again, expect more of the same—but on a grander, more expensive scale. Billions of dollars, corporate endorsements, late-night cheerleading, and elite donor backing can’t manufacture authenticity or competence. And voters, for all the spin, still know the difference.

Kamala Harris may be ready to write the next chapter in her political memoir, but based on the early reaction, most Americans are ready to close the book.
