Rogan Discusses DOGE Findings
Joe Rogan isn’t holding back when it comes to Elon Musk and his growing influence over the U.S. government. On a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the podcaster made it clear that Musk is reshaping the system in a way that should have political elites very, very nervous.
Rogan’s comments come as Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has been aggressively slashing wasteful government contracts—moves that have already saved taxpayers millions of dollars. But that’s just the beginning. President Donald Trump took things a step further on Tuesday, signing an executive order directing DOGE to coordinate with federal agencies and execute sweeping cuts to government staffing. In other words, bureaucrats who thought their positions were untouchable may soon find themselves out of a job.
Some Democrats, however, are sounding the alarm about Musk’s access to government data, warning that he could use it for personal gain. Rogan laughed off the idea, mocking those who claim Musk would steal money from everyday Americans.
"Elon’s going to steal everybody’s money!" Rogan said in a sarcastic voice before shutting down the argument outright. "He has $400 billion. I'm telling you he's not going to steal your money. That's not what he's doing."
So what is Musk doing? According to Rogan, he’s turning his focus toward the bloated government bureaucracy that has been leeching off taxpayers for decades. And the political establishment isn’t ready for what’s coming.
JOE ROGAN: "People are worried that Elon is going to steal everyone's money. He has $400B. Elon's not going to steal your money. That's not what he's doing. "What he's doing is, he's a super genius that’s been f---ed with, okay?" Rogan said. "And when you've been f---ed with by these nitwits that hide behind three-letter agencies, and you're dealing with one of the smartest people alive, and he helps Donald Trump get in office, and he goes, ‘I want to find out what kind of corruption is really around'—well, you f---ed up! You f---ed up and picked the wrong psychopath on the spectrum."
Rogan, laughing as he spoke, made it clear that Musk isn’t just going to look into government waste—he’s going to expose it.
"He's gonna hunt you down," Rogan said, chuckling. "He's gonna find out what’s going on, and that's good. That’s good for everybody. That’s how you should be looking at this, like, ‘Wow, we have a brilliant mind that is examining these really f---in’ corrupt and goofy systems and bringing in a bunch of psychopath wizards.’"
And it’s not just political insiders who are worried. Senator Elizabeth Warren has been on a crusade against Musk for years, sending multiple letters to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) demanding investigations into his leadership at Tesla and X (formerly Twitter). Most recently, she called for the SEC to investigate Tesla’s board of directors over potential conflicts of interest with Musk.
Meanwhile, the Biden administration’s Department of Justice (DOJ) has gone after Musk’s aerospace company, SpaceX, accusing it of discriminating against asylum seekers and refugees in its hiring practices. The lawsuit claims that SpaceX wrongly asserted that federal laws restricted them to hiring only U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents.
