Rosie O’Donnell Comments On Scarborough
Rosie O’Donnell is back in the spotlight, venting her frustrations with MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough for their recent visit to Mar-a-Lago to meet with President-elect Donald Trump.
The fiery comedian and left-wing activist took to TikTok to lambast the Morning Joe co-hosts for what she called a betrayal of their own rhetoric, accusing them of hypocrisy after years of criticism aimed at Trump.
In her animated clip, O’Donnell expressed her disillusionment with the media landscape, calling it “hopeless.” She derided Brzezinski and Scarborough for their willingness to meet with Trump, remarking, “For months you were telling us he’s the worst thing that could happen to this country and democracy. And then you go kiss his ring. Despicable. Despicable you; both of you.”

The meeting in question, confirmed by The Daily Wire, marked the first face-to-face discussion between Trump and the Morning Joe hosts in seven years. According to Brzezinski, the purpose was “to restart communications” in an era of extreme political polarization. The couple claimed they addressed contentious topics like immigration and abortion but admitted to finding little common ground with the president-elect.
“For nearly 80 million Americans,” Brzezinski explained in a statement, “election denialism, public trials, January 6, were not as important as the issues that moved them to send Donald Trump back to the White House. Joe and I realize it’s time to do something different, and that starts with not only talking about Donald Trump, but also talking with him.”
But their attempts at bridge-building didn’t sit well with critics from across the political spectrum. Fellow MSNBC contributor Jennifer Rubin slammed the meeting as “disgusting” on Bluesky, while host Katie Phang warned on X, “Normalizing Trump is a bad idea. Period.”
Even Jon Stewart, host of The Daily Show, chimed in with biting sarcasm, saying, “Uh…Because you said he was Hitler,” referencing Brzezinski’s rhetorical question about why the meeting was necessary.
Conservatives, meanwhile, offered their own skepticism. Nikki Haley, who lost the Republican nomination to Trump, accused Brzezinski and Scarborough of ulterior motives, writing on X, “Let’s be clear, Joe and Mika didn’t suddenly see the light, they saw their ratings. They realized they needed Trump for their survival.”
