Texas Homeowner Opens Fire On Crooks, Saved His Family From Potential Harm
Two would-be home invaders reportedly broke into a Nacogdoches Texas home with only one gun between them. Obviously, that is twice the amount of commonsense the two shared. Considering they broken into a home in Texas, of all places.
The local news said around 5:36 a.m. Officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department responded to a report of a home invasion in the 1800 blk of Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. One of the residents advised that two male suspects had forced entry into their residence. The homeowner stated one of the suspects was armed with a pistol. The homeowner further advised that he shot at one of the suspects and both suspects ran out of his house.
Both suspects were nowhere in sight by the time police made it on the scene but officers later responded to an area hospital for an individual that was suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. The individual was identified as Laquintin Lockhart, 30. He was taken into custody without incident.
The Nacogdoches Police Department will be continuing to investigate the incident. After all, one suspect is still on the run.
Believe it or not but only about 40% of Texans are armed but that's only counting those who were comfortable telling the census they had guns in their home. So, it's not statistics that left of amused at the fact that criminals still try to break into a home in Texas but their reputation.
If we were looking at which state has the most registered guns data says that Texas is actually number two in the country. Alaska is number one, in case you were wondering. However, most reports look at guns per capita which puts Texas somewhere in the middle.
That doesn't change the fact that it's Texas and criminals should just know better by now.
