Trump and Noem Make Changes To Border Wall Says Report
Seven months into the Trump administration’s return, the contrast with the Biden years could not be starker — especially at the border. What once looked like a flood of illegal crossings under Biden’s chaos-first policies has been dramatically slowed by the simple reintroduction of common sense. And the latest enhancement to the wall has Democrats practically foaming at the mouth.
At the president’s direction, the Department of Homeland Security is now painting the entire southern border wall black. Why? Because the black paint doesn’t just protect the steel from rust, extending the life of the barrier — it also makes the bollards so hot under the desert sun that migrants won’t even want to touch it, let alone climb it.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, speaking Tuesday in New Mexico, explained the strategy clearly. “This wall is part of the difference. Too high to climb. Too narrow to squeeze through. And now, at the President’s direction, it will be painted black—so hot to the touch that criminal illegal aliens won’t even try.”
Democrats, predictably, are outraged. The very same people who opposed the wall altogether are now up in arms over the paint color, complaining that the steel could become dangerously hot for anyone attempting to cross illegally. Noem’s response was as sharp as it was simple: “Don’t touch it. People have a choice.”

One might think the party that calls itself “pro-choice” would appreciate that answer — but apparently choice only matters when it fits their agenda.
The optics are clear: under Biden, border policy was about excuses, exceptions, and open gates. Under Trump, it’s about deterrence, security, and sovereignty. It didn’t take new laws or endless bureaucratic debates to fix the mess. As Trump himself said earlier this year before Congress, “America didn’t need new legislation, just a new president.”
