Twitter Execs Screwed Up BIG TIME, Rep. Comer Destroys Big Tech in Hearing
It’s no secret that Big Tech has been censoring and silencing conservative voices for years. From the Hunter Biden laptop story to former President Donald Trump, it seems that these companies are using their power to silence those who disagree with them. But what is really going on?
Recently, during a House Oversight and Government Accountability Committee hearing, Congressman James Comer of Kentucky confronted ex-Twitter Head of Trust and Safety Yoel Roth over Tweets that were deemed to be critical of Republicans. Roth was part of a special working group that monitored high-profile accounts, and the Libs of TikTok account was suspended seven times under Twitter's "Hateful Conduct policy" despite not actually breaking any rules.
The conversation turned to a Tweet that Roth posted that suggested former President Donald Trump was a Nazi. Comer asked Roth if he thought all conservatives were Nazis, to which Roth answered:
Yes, that person in the pink hat is clearly a bigger threat to your brand of feminism than ACTUAL NAZIS IN THE WHITE HOUSE.

“I regret the language that I used in some of my former Tweets, but, yes, I did post that,” Roth responded.
“Mr. Roth, do you think all conservatives are Nazis?” Comer asked.
“Certainly not, sir,” Roth answered.
Despite this, Trump was permanently suspended from the platform in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. Rather than citing a specific rule violation for Trump's ban, Twitter executives noted the "context surrounding" of Trump's tweets "over the course of the election and frankly last 4+ years."
This kind of censorship is unacceptable and shows that Twitter is trying to manipulate the media to its own agenda. It has become increasingly clear that Big Tech companies are using their power to silence those who disagree with them. We need to hold these companies accountable and make sure that our voices are heard.
Lawmakers need to stand up to people like Roth, who have no problem using their positions of power to silence those who disagree with them. We cannot allow this kind of corruption to go unchecked, and it is up to us to make sure that our voices are heard and keep stories like this circulating.
