Unbelievable: Dem Seeks To Punish Catholic Church For Offending Biden
Who else but a blue state Democrat would push to punish a religion for offending their supreme leader. The Catholic church is currently a political fire. Not because they engaged in politics but because Biden's far-left pro-abortion stance has put the church in a tough position. Rep. Jared Huffman, of California, proposed punishing the church and strip the church of its tax-exempt status for even debating whether or not they should continue to offer Biden communion.
“If they’re going to politically weaponize religion by ‘rebuking’ Democrats who support women’s reproductive choice, then a ‘rebuke’ of their tax-exempt status may be in order,” Huffman tweeted.

Biden flipped, not the church. Originally, Biden spoke against using taxpayer funds to pay for abortions and condemned the act of abortion, personally. While he still added that he did not feel like it was his place to block abortions— It was still slightly better than his current position.
Biden, early in the 2020 presidential election cycle, reversed his stance on the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits the use of federal funds to subsidize abortions except for cases of rape, incest, or when a woman's life is endangered by a fetus. At the time, he said he "can no longer support an amendment that makes" a woman's right to an abortion "dependent on someone's ZIP code."
"I make no apologies for my last position and I make no apologies for what I'm about to say," Biden said in 2019, defending his change of heart. "I can't justify leaving millions of women without access to the care they need and the ability to exercise their constitutionally protected right."
Some bishops believe Biden forced their hand on making a decision and the church's credibility was on the line if they didn't move forward with a document reaffirming core Catholic values.
Meanwhile, the Catholic church, like most Christian faith churches, has not changed its stance on not supporting abortion. So what's the sudden shock from the left? It's all laughable shenanigans if you ask me. That is until politicians start punishing places of worship for not supporting their ideologies even when it goes against the very fiber of their faith.
