WaPo Stoops To New Woke Lows After Parents Push To Protect Kids From Groomers
Parents have the natural right to raise their own children and protect them from outside influence. Unfortunately, the GOP is facing criticism from the Left for trying to do just that. Jonathan Capehart of The Washington Post has accused them of “putting a target on the backs of trans kids and their families.”
It’s clear that Capehart doesn’t understand conservative thought, and he’s not alone. The Left has accused the GOP of targeting children and denying them “the full history, the full curriculum that they're supposed to be taught.”
That’s a load of bullsh*t. Parents should be the ones teaching their children about gender identity and the like, not the government. It’s wrong for schools to keep important things about kids secret from the parents and it’s wrong for the government to be pushing crt and woke ideologies onto school children against parents' wishes.
New York Times columnist David Brooks gets it. He points out that public school enrollment is down because parents aren’t happy with what their kids are learning and that if a school is keeping important things about kids secret from the parents, that's going to destroy trust. He’s right.
Parents have the right to raise their own children and should be respected and supported in that right. The Left’s attempt to violate this right must be fought. We can’t let them push their crt and woke agendas onto our children. We must stand up for parents’ rights.
It's troubling that certain individuals are attempting to paint conservatives as the bad guys by accusing them of "targeting" trans kids when all they're doing is defending parents' rights to raise their own children.
Parents should be the ones to provide their children with education on gender identity, not the state. It's simply wrong for schools to keep information from parents and for the government to use public schools to indoctrinate children with critical race theory and other woke ideologies without parental consent.
