Watch MSNBC's Hilarious Meltdown After Trump Wasn't Arrested
MSNBC's Ellie Mystal had an absolute aneurysm this week after learning that the FBI had finished their review of the 'evidence' collected at Trump's home but not made an arrest or announced charges. "Why isn't this dude in jail?", Mystal screeched. He continued, "my top-level expert, legal analysis of the affidavit is, why ain't this dude in jail? Like, what does this man have to do to go to jail? He later randomly shouted,
"How is this man free?"
Also this week, Trump's lawyers said that they don't think the former president committed a crime and don't see what the FBI could possibly charge him with. The left argues that it's because Trump had top secret documents in his possession, the FBI confirmed that they did find some top secret material but has said little else to please curious minds. Meanwhile, the Trump team assure everyone that the documents that were at Trump's home were declassified prior to being removed from the White House.
Host Jason Johnson joined in on Mystal's outrage saying, "that's the one that keeps getting me. It's not just, why is this guy not in jail? Why did it take so long to even get to this point? I mean, it's been almost a year-and-a-half. They knew he had the stuff there. Why do you think it's taken so long to move to this kind of legal investigation?"
Ultimately, the two refused to consider the idea that the FBI hasn't moved on Trump because they do not have a case and settled on 'angry white boys'. According to the MSNBC dream team, the FBI, one of the world's most powerful organizations, won't move on Trump because 'angry white boys' would be mad.
It was hard not to laugh at them. Enjoy!

ELIE MYSTAL: My top level expert, legal analysis of the affidavit is, why ain't this dude in jail? Like, what does this man have to do to go to jail? . . . How is this man free?
. . .
You can't, you can't make what he had already found more serious, right? We're talking about sources, and information in terms of how we conduct national security.
There are lots of people who would want to get their hands on that kind of information. And not all of them are friendly to us, right? So, the idea that he can just have them, not just sitting in a box in his basement for him to see, but sitting in a box in his golf course for anybody to see.
And I don't mean like, random, his buddy friends. I mean Jared [Kushner], Steve Bannon: people that we know are on the grift --
JASON JOHNSON: Right.
MYSTAL: -- and are just looking for the way to make their next buck. Like, we have no idea how many of Trump's cronies have seen the sensitive information, and what they're willing to sell it for. So the threat here is, is by all means real.
And so I go again, how, how did you know he had all these documents back in January or February, and he was still free in August. How is he still free in August and now raid his stuff and you find more more information, and he's still free as we head into September. How is he still free?! It's like the splinter in my mind.
JOHNSON: And that's the thing. I want to close with this. Because that's the the one that keeps getting me. It's not just, why is this guy not in jail? Why did it take so long to even get to this point? I mean, it's been almost a year-and-a-half. They knew he had the stuff there. Why do you think it's taken so long to move to this kind of legal investigation?
MYSTAL: Part of the problem is that I do believe that there are people in the federal government who are afraid of what, frankly, angry white boys will do if they arrest their Dear Leader. I think that there is that real fear in the federal government.
