Watch: PolitiFact's Editor Backed Up Cuomo Over Fatal Nursing Home Disaster
The level of conformity on the left is just staggering and there is no better example than the interview on CNN's 'Reliable sources' with guest PolitiFact editor-in-chief Angie Drobnic Holan. Rather than work with the facts about what happened in New York's nursing homes under gov Andrew Cuomo's orders, Holan worked to build up the defamed Governor. Even backing up his claimed that it was everyone else fault but his.
Cuomo widely blames the media for misinformation, the staff at facilities, and visitors for bringing the virus in but refused to admit that his decision to take covid positive patients and stick them in nursing homes was a fatal move. Last summer, Cuomo said that what happened was 'unfortunate' and called the dying patients 'dry grass', referring to their vulnerability.
Since then one of Cuomo's aides exposed the politician for hiding the real death toll numbers by half. The aide explained that this done to reportedly 'protect Cuomo' from President Trump's scrutiny.
During the broadcast, Brian Stelter asked," He's kind of blaming the media for the newfound scrutiny about nursing home deaths. Do you think Cuomo’s been given an easy break by the media and is that changing?"
"I think the situation New York is really complicated," Holan replied." Adding, " Certainly, there are goings to criticize about how the Cuomo administration handled data. But the heart of the matter goes back to last year when the state was asking nursing homes to take in patients, COVID patients who were ready to be discharged from the hospital.
She cluelessly concluded, "We don't see hard evidence that that made a significant difference in COVID deaths. If you look at the statistics, New York is about having the same numbers as other states around the country. And the issue was employees, workers in the nursing homes who didn't realize they were bringing COVID-19 into the nursing homes. So, it is a really complicated situation. There’s not clear-cut answers here."
Politifact is a relatively newer concept launched during the Trump administration and seems their sole purpose was to 'fact-check' (bash) conservatives. If you've been censored on social media over political content, chances are- it was them. Yet, here they are, backing up Cuomo after one of his aides put their career on the line to blow the whistle on Cuomo's team hiding the truth from the public.
Imagine that...
